Apple raises money to support Ukraine on its website and apps
You can now transfer money to support Ukraine via UNICEF on the website and in the applications of the American corporation Apple. In particular, on platforms such as: Apple Music, App Store, Apple News and Apple TV, according to Appleinsider.
It is known that the corresponding banners with calls to help Ukraine appeared on Apple resources starting from March 4, 2022.
How Apple users can contributeNow a banner has been posted on Apple's website asking them to "donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine."
A similar banner can be seen in Apple News, which states that Apple "cooperates with UNICEF" and makes donations. Other hints are also displayed in the App Store, the review section of Apple Music, and the Apple TV app.
Tapping the banner on your iPhone or iPad will open the iTunes Store, and Apple Music will launch on your Mac. The app then displays a donation request with several suggested amounts in the user's local currency.
In the message, users are prompted to select an amount and then click "Donate" to confirm the transaction.
Apple claims that 100% of the user's contribution will go to UNICEF.
At the same time, these ads are not currently visible in Ukraine. Obviously, they are only available to users from Western countries.
Recall that on March 1, Apple CEO Tim Cook called on employees of the corporation to support Ukraine with money and noted that he would double each donation.
