National roaming testing launches in Ukraine
Ukraine launches testing of national roaming, according to the State Service for Special Communications. This will allow you to switch between operators: if your carrier's network has disappeared, you can use another one.
First, national roaming will be enabled in the war zone (Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv regions). Then-in Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy and Vinnytsia regions, and subsequently throughout Ukraine.
Once a day, you should try to return to the network of the main operator. This can be done manually or via automatic network selection.
Vodafone, Kyivstar, lifecell operators, as well as the Ministry of Digital Development, Gosspetsvyaz and NCRSI (regulator in the field of communications and informatization) joined the launch of the project.
How to connect to the network of another operator disable auto-selection of the network. On Android, this is done via: Settings — Mobile network (or connection) — operator. On iOS: Settings-Cellular Data-Network selection.Find and select an available network: Vodafone UA, UA-KYIVSTAR or LIFECELL.If it fails, try again or choose a different network.Check whether you can make a call or send an SMS.The pricing remains the same as in your carrier's plan. Earlier, the State Service for Special Communications reported that subscribers who do not have enough funds in the account will still be able to use the services of operators. This option is available for the duration of the war.
