Cisco is shutting down its business in Russia and Belarus. Some of the company's services have become free for Ukrainians

The American Corporation Cisco, which is considered the world's largest manufacturer of network equipment, decided to stop business in Russia and Belarus. The company will also strengthen support for Ukraine and Ukrainians, Cisco Regional Manager in Ukraine Serhiy Martynchuk said on Facebook.

"I think you already know that Cisco has decided to stop its business in Russia and Belarus. Now I want to share what we are doing to support our clients in Ukraine in addition to our main work," he said.

In particular, for customers in Ukraine, the company promises to automatically and free of charge renew licenses for software and services.

What other assistance does the company provide to Ukrainians

According to Martynchuk, the company provides free of charge for a period of 1 year the opportunity to use Cisco Webex, as well as security products DUO + AMP + Umbrella for a period of 6 to 12 months. At the same time, the manager assured that even more free services are on the way.

"We are increasing assistance in protecting organizations in Ukraine from cyber attacks and providing support to the Ukrainian government in protecting infrastructure. Our Talos team works to monitor the landscape, search for intruders and deploy security tools, and openly shares its findings, which is important for maintaining security," the company reported.

They also added that they participate in many volunteer initiatives, including the organization of a humanitarian aid fund that allows accepting donations from all over the world.

At the same time, Cisco strongly and unequivocally condemns the unjustified war waged by Russia and the violence committed against innocent civilians.

Recall that in October 2021, it was reported that Cisco began actively looking for developers in Ukraine.
