Amazon will not allow new users from Russia and Belarus to register for AWS

Amazon introduces new restrictions on its services for users from Russia and Belarus. Now they will not be able to get retail products from Amazon and become new sellers on this platform. Meanwhile, AWS cloud services will not register new customers in these countries.

Minor restrictions include blocked access to Prime Video and no new orders for New world. This is the only video game that Amazon sells directly in Russia.

The company reminded that it does not have data processing centers, offices or infrastructure in the Russian Federation. In addition, Amazon has long adhered to the rule "do not do business with the Russian government."

The company transferred 5 5 million to help war victims. In addition, 10,000 employees donated their funds, and "tens of thousands of customers" made transfers to support Ukraine through Amazon pages. These funds will go to Save the Children and the Red Cross Society.
