Sketch graphic editor stops all sales in Russia

Sketch, a vector graphics interface editor for Apple's macOS, has announced the suspension of all its sales in Russia due to its war against Ukraine. This is reported on the company's website.

"We are together with the people of Ukraine. Therefore, we are suspending all sales in Russia starting today (March 8, 2022). This includes renewing your Sketch subscription (annual and monthly), renewing your Mac-only license, and any additional purchases or purchases from new customers. We are working closely with our payment providers to comply with this," the statement said.

At the same time, the company stressed that millions of Russians also suffer as a result of this conflict, so they explained that they made this decision not lightly, but to avoid using their products to contribute to the humanitarian crisis.

How the company helps Ukraine

Sketch claims to be deeply saddened by the ongoing attacks on the people and sovereignty of Ukraine.

"As a company and as individuals, our moral responsibility is to support humanitarian efforts and help where we can. Last week, we donated 1 10,000 to the Red Cross of Ukraine. Now we need to do more," the company noted.

They also added that many Sketch employees are based in Europe, and many of them know people who were personally affected by the conflict.

"To the people of Ukraine and the whole world, who call for an end to this war, we are with you," the company concluded.

As you know, Sketch is a paid vector graphics interface editor for Apple's macOS. It was developed by the Dutch company Bohemian Coding and first released on September 7, 2010.

Earlier, Depositphotos and VistaCreate stopped all sales and services to customers and partners from Russia and Belarus. The companies noted that they will not allow the use of their services for propaganda, disinformation or support of illegal actions.
