Minister Fedorov suggests not to mobilize IT specialists to the Army, because they are fighting in cyberspace

Minister of digital transformation Mikhail Fedorov signed a letter calling not to mobilize IT specialists to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The corresponding letter is already being distributed on the Internet.

According to the minister, the war keeps not only on the ground, in the air and on the water, but also in cyberspace. And the Ukrainian IT Army gives a worthy rebuff to enemy propaganda.

IT professionals are working on:

distribution of anti-war and propaganda materials among citizens of the occupying state through all available internet platforms; distribution of emails to citizens of the occupying state (50 million letters sent);establishment of mass mailing via Viber messenger and work with Russian social networks "VK" and "Odnoklassniki";Organization of information campaigns to create panic moods, in particular, calls for mass protests on the territory of the occupying state, queues at ATMs to undermine the Russian regime from within;carrying out other types of work to counteract disinformation of the population of the occupying state.

Taking this into account, the minister suggests paying attention to this fact when conducting mobilization in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The Ministry of digital development, as the central executive authority that ensures the formation and implementation of state policy in the areas of digital development, digital economy, digital innovations and the development of the IT industry, confirms the fact of attracting a limited number of specialists of IT companies to the implementation of the above tasks and appeals to all state bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations, their officials involved and organizing the mobilization now, with a request to provide an opportunity for a certain circle of people to perform the work of a "warrior in his place", in particular when determining the order and volume of conscription of those liable for military service, reservists for military service, their direct conscription take into account the expediency of such a need in relation to persons who are specialists in the IT industry."

At the same time, the minister suggests verifying that a person belongs to the category of an IT specialist by checking the existence of an employment contract or gig contract concluded between such a person and an IT company.
