GitLab to restrict cooperation with Russia and Belarus

GitLab, a platform with Ukrainian roots, stops the development of new businesses in Russia and Belarus. Its head Sid Seibrandey wrote about this in the company's blog. The company stressed that its priority now is the health and safety of 13 members of the Ukrainian team.

The text also states that GitLab condemns the aggression of Russia and the government of this country, but not its citizens.

"We condemn the actions of the Russian leadership, but not the people who live there," GitLab said in a statement.

GitLab noted that the situation is now dynamic, so the company will take this into account and review its business practices.

Regarding the security of user information — GitLab emphasizes that no customer data is stored in Russia or Ukraine.
