MongoDB Atlas will delete user data from Russia and Belarus
Due to sanctions, the American MongoDB Atlas service will not work in Russia and Belarus. The company advises customers to urgently back up important data from there, because they will soon be deleted forever. A letter with such a warning from MongoDB was posted on Twitter by Oleg Brodt, Chief Innovation Officer at Ben-Gurion University.
MongoDB is terminating Russian accounts. Makes you wonder how your IT may look like if other IaaS, PaaS and SaaS providers will decide to shut you down. What if AWS decided to shut down your account? How business critical is your reliance on the cloud? pic.twitter.com/UerJ4TGPMn

MongoDB Atlas is a cloud-based database that allows you to deploy applications across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
The company did not publish an official statement about users in Russia. However, earlier she expressed support for Ukraine and said that MongoDB Atlas will be free for projects that are aimed at helping Ukraine. To get access to the service, you need to submit a request on the company's website.
