Revolut payment system will be available in Europe for all refugees from Ukraine
Revolut's financial transactions will now be available in the EU for all refugees from Ukraine, regardless of nationality. The company's team announced this in a blog post.
Usually, to open a Revolut account in the EU, Ukrainians need proof of their right to reside in Europe. Now this requirement has been eliminated. The company also waived a number of fees for currency exchange and account replenishment.
Revolut notes that more than two million refugees have already crossed the borders of Ukraine in search of security — and many people do not have all the necessary things or documents. So that they can quickly access their funds, the company allows you to link your Revolut account to a Ukrainian bank account.
In the Revolut mobile app, users will have a virtual bank card that is convenient to use anywhere in the world. You can pay from it in the local currency of the country or withdraw the necessary cash. Other features will also be available: instant money transfers between cards, cost analytics, and money transfers abroad.
Earlier, Revolut banned money transfers in Russia and Belarus and optimized transfers to the Red Cross in Ukraine.
