Microsoft has disabled Russian mail Mail.ru from their servers

The American corporation Microsoft disabled the Russian mail service Mail.ru from their servers. This was noticed by users of VK Services (formerly Mail.ru Group), who have been complaining for almost a week about failures when viewing files attached to emails of the mail client, write Vedomosti.

In particular, this Russian publication refers to an employee of the company that participated in the restoration of the service. According to him, complaints began to appear on March 17 and now they can be found on the "answers" service, which is part of VK.

"This happened after Microsoft disabled mail Mail.ru access to their servers, which is why users lost the ability to view attachments from emails," the company employee explained.

VK also commented to the publication on the situation that has developed with the shutdown of the mail service.

"Our partner faced technical difficulties, and we are working on a new solution together with Moiofis, so that users can continue to use the usual functionality, "said a representative of the Russian IT company.

Recall that in early March, Microsoft announced the suspension of services and sales of products in Russia due to its war against Ukraine.
