Ukrainian AltexSoft opened an office in Georgia at the end of 2021, and now plans to enter other countries. There is a possibility for relocation

Ukrainian IT company AltexSoft has opened an office in the capital of Georgia, and also plans to enter other foreign markets in 2022. At the same time, they are ready to relocate all interested employees from Ukraine. The company told DOU about the details of opening a new representative office and plans for future expansion abroad.

AltexSoft is a technology consulting company established 14 years ago. Specializes in expertise in Travel Tech, Data Science, UI/UX, Business Analysis, and Software Engineering. The profile of the IT company on DOU indicates that it employs from 200 to 800 employees, and development offices are located in Kharkiv, Lviv, Kremenchuk, as well as in Atlanta and San Diego (USA).

Why choose Georgia

The new office was opened at the end of 2021 in Tbilisi. The company explained that the capital was chosen because it has the necessary infrastructure, business centers that meet the standards of comfortable work, and most importantly-most technical specialists are concentrated here due to their proximity to the main specialized universities of the country.

"Being localized in the center of the country, we can claim the entire Georgian market. ... Reflecting on Georgia, we conducted a reserch: we analyzed both Georgian IT companies and international players in the Georgian market, conducted in-depth interviews with local developers and made sure that it would be an organic natural step for us to move forward in Georgia," the company stressed to us.

Currently, the Tbilisi office already employs 10 specialists, and by the end of the year they plan to increase the team to 50 people.

The company aims to equip a full-fledged R&D office with delivery and administrative staff, local HR and talent acquisition specialists.

What specialists are needed

Currently, the most popular technical specialists are being recruited for current projects: .NET, Node .JS, React JS, and QA engineers.

"AltexSoft is open both to Ukrainians who want to work in Georgia, and to local developers who today form the basis of the Tbilisi team," the company stressed.

For those who have the necessary knowledge and do not have commercial experience, they promise to launch a program during which people will be able to work on training projects, and when they are ready, they will join client projects.

At the same time, for those who have only theoretical basic knowledge, we are preparing to launch training at AltexSoft LAB with the possibility of further paid internships. Each applicant will receive personal feedback with tips and individually selected material based on the results of preliminary testing. Then enrolled students will have 2 months of practice under the guidance of a mentor, and after evaluating the progress, all successful students will be invited to join the team.

About the possibility of relocation

As for IT specialists from Ukraine, the possibility of relocation for any period of time is open for all such comers.

Now the company is trying to maintain a constant presence in the Georgian office of managers from Ukraine, because already trained specialists with experience help to establish work and help to introduce new specialists to the course of business.

It is assumed that specialists from the new development office, as well as from other offices, will be involved in working on joint current tasks.

In addition, the company plans to open new offices abroad. It is known that this task was singled out as one of the strategic ones for 2022.

"As part of the work on it, a shortlist of potentially interesting countries for altexsoft expansion was compiled. Now we have finished reserch and will soon open another office abroad, which we will additionally inform you about on our official sources," the company announced.
About supporting the army

The company said that they are now actively supporting the army. In particular, they satisfied the request of one of the tank brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which needed generators.

"In just a few hours, we collected the necessary 142 thousand UAH. today we already have 154 thousand UAH and are looking for where to buy walkie — talkies that the same team needs," the IT company reported.

They added that now there is a fundraising campaign for bulletproof vests for the military in Kharkiv: they found sets of a high degree of protection in Israel, for the purchase of which they collected 700 thousand UAH.

AltexSoft also supports its employees: they managed to evacuate 96% of the staff, helped with resettlement, provided an opportunity to work, provided assistance in the amount of.500 and paid their salaries in advance.

In addition, employees of the Tbilisi office transferred part of their salary to help their Ukrainian colleagues.

Recall that at the end of 2021, the IT company AltexSoft joined a small Kharkiv outsourcer DA-14.
