Grid Dynamics closes offices in Russia and opens new locations in Switzerland and Armenia

Grid Dynamics, an IT company with more than 1,500 specialists in Ukraine, is closing its offices in Russia and will finally stop operating there within the next few weeks. Now most of the specialists are relocated to other engineering centers, the company said.

They assured that the exit plan began to be developed immediately after the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine at the end of February 2022. It provides for the safe and expedient movement of willing specialists and continuous project management to fulfill all obligations to clients.

"Our withdrawal from the Russian market is urgent and necessary. Grid Dynamics expresses its unwavering commitment and support to Ukraine, Our specialists and the future of humanity," said Grid Dynamics CEO Leonard Livshits.
About new offices

At the same time, Grid Dynamics opens new offices in Zug (Switzerland) and Yerevan (Armenia).

The IT company expects that its presence in the Swiss market will allow access to the DACH region, which should contribute to further successful work in Western Europe.

In turn, the company's new office in Yerevan already has more than 100 engineers. It is expected that in 2022 the capacity of the Armenian representative office will increase several times.

As you know, Grid Dynamics works in the field of designing and implementing digital transformation programs for the largest companies in the financial, technology and retail sectors included in the Fortune 1000 list. Representative offices are located in the United States, Central and Eastern Europe. In Ukraine, the IT company has development centers in Kiev, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro and other cities.

Earlier, the IT company AllSTARSIT entered the Polish market by opening an office in the center of Warsaw. There, it plans to hire more than 400 technical specialists.

Before that, it also became known that AltexSoft has opened an office in the capital of Georgia, and also plans to enter other foreign markets in 2022.
