The government has expanded the list of companies that can enter the City. What categories were added

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has added to the list of types of business activities allowed under the special legal and tax space of Action City. The relevant resolution was approved by the government at a meeting on April 19, the press service of the Ministry of digital transformation reports.

In particular, the authorities have identified several areas, the development of which is strategically important for the country and will fully support its defense capability and economic stability.

As expected in the Cabinet of ministers, these types of activities will allow to repeatedly stimulate the financial development and stability of Ukraine both during martial law and in the post-war period.

What activities were added

The adopted document provides that from now on, enterprises that carry out the following activities can become residents of Diya City::

development, implementation and technological support of products and solutions of international card payment systems. These are companies that technically support the activities of Visa and Mastercard companies. High-quality service of payment systems is now a crucial factor for the financial security of Ukrainians and the protection of the financial system;production and sale of electronic components and boards, computers and peripheral equipment, communication equipment, instruments and equipment for measurement, research and navigation, optical devices and photographic equipment for use in the defense (security), industrial and household spheres. The development of high technologies in the field of the military-industrial complex is exactly the direction that should become a priority for Ukraine;provision of data processing and storage facilities in the field of informatization (computing infrastructure) in the form of a cloud (virtual) data center, virtual infrastructure resources, information storage and processing services using the functionality of licensed software, as well as infrastructure for data storage and processing and hosting (hosting) computer equipment in the data processing center. Cloud solutions are essential for serving high-tech businesses. Their smooth operation allows other companies to work and continue to replenish the Ukrainian budget. What else changed during the war

Previously, due to the war, the criteria for residency were also simplified as much as possible. In particular, residents of Diya City do not need to submit a compliance report and an independent audit report before January 1 of the year following the peace year.

During martial law, companies will not be deprived of the status of residents of Diya City, even if they do not meet the following criteria: number of employees, average salary, and so on. This applies to both current residents and companies seeking to join the special regime.

At the same time, the City's tax conditions remain unchanged.

Recall that at the 4th Diia Summit on February 8, 2022, a special mode for the IT industry Diya City was officially launched. The authorities expect that the share of it in the state'S GDP will grow from 4% to 10%, and industry revenues will increase to.16.5 billion.

The DOU editorial board asked the first resident companies of Diya City about whether they plan to introduce gig contracts and non-competitive agreements and whether they provide for a possible outflow of IT specialists.
