Apple has cut about 100 recruiters and is slowing down hiring

Apple cut about 100 contract recruiters last week. Thus, the company is trying to slow down the hiring of new specialists and reduce costs, writes Bloomberg, citing sources.

The cuts affected recruiters in several locations, including Texas and Singapore. Specialists were promised to pay salaries and provide medical benefits within two weeks. They were told that the cuts were related to changes in current business needs.

Bloomberg suggests that Apple took such steps because of the general crisis in the technology market. Recently, there is more and more news that giants like Microsoft, Meta Platforms, Tesla are cutting specialists to reduce costs.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said the company will be" thoughtful " about spending, despite continuing to invest in some industries.
