Apple allowed users to repair their own laptops

Apple announced that from August 23, Self Service Repair will be available for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops. The company will provide repair manuals and original spare parts and tools through the Apple Self Service Repair Store.

Self service Repair for iPhone was launched earlier this year. Now the company has allowed self-repair for the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with the M1 family of chips. First, the program will work in the United States, and then it will be expanded to other countries.

Self Service Repair offers a number of different types of repairs for each model: display, battery top and trackpad, etc. Over time, the company promises to increase this list.

To start repairs yourself, the customer must first read the repair instructions. They can then visit the Apple Self Service Repair Store and order the necessary spare parts and tools. Apple will offer kits for rent for.49 so that customers who don't want to buy one-time repair tools have access to professional tools.

In addition, customers can send replaced parts back to Apple for restoration and recycling, and in many cases get their purchase for it.

Over the past three years, Apple has almost doubled the number of service centers with access to original spare parts, tools, and training.
