Ukraine wants to improve the system of booking those liable for military service — the bill is already in the Verkhovna Rada

On August 22, the website of the Verkhovna Rada registered Draft Law No. 7687 on booking those liable for military service for the period of mobilization and in wartime. The project is initiated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The authors of the draft say that the document should improve the system of booking those liable for military service for the period of mobilization.

The bill proposes to amend Article 25 of the law on mobilization, where it should be noted that those who are liable for military service and work will be subject to booking.:

in state authorities, other state bodies, local self-government bodies;at enterprises, institutions and organizations that have proven mobilization tasks (orders);at enterprises, institutions and organizations that produce goods, perform work and provide defense services to meet the needs of the armed forces of Ukraine, other military formations in a special period;at enterprises, institutions and organizations that are critical for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the life of the population in a special period.

The list of critical institutions, companies and enterprises will be compiled in accordance with the criteria determined by the Cabinet of ministers. It will also determine the booking procedure for the period of mobilization and in wartime.

If the draft is adopted, the Cabinet of ministers will be obliged to bring all regulatory legal acts in line with the updated law within two months.

The explanatory note states that booking those liable for military service is necessary to support the economy and preserve the human resources potential of companies, enterprises and institutions.
