The Preply platform created by Ukrainians will not allow tutors from Russia to earn money on it
Preply said that tutors from Russia will no longer be able to earn money on its platform. She announced this today on Instagram. The company will also make a monthly donation equal to the total profit of users from Russia. Preply does not specify the exact amount.
Preply expressed its support for Ukrainians a week ago. Then she encouraged users to donate funds to help our army and international charities. In particular, Preply calls for donating money to the Red Cross, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, humanitarian aid, as well as to UNICEF and Save the Children.
The Preply educational platform was created in 2012 by Ukrainians Kirill Bigai, Dmitry Voloshin and Sergey Lukyanov. It allows you to search for tutors and learn languages online. It is noted that in this way more than 100,000 students learn a new language every year.
