Tesla will pay salaries to Ukrainian employees who will go to defend their state
Tesla will continue to pay Ukrainian employees who have returned to their country to join the fight against the Russian occupiers. This is reported by CNBC. The company will retain their workplace and salary for at least 3 months.
A letter with this message was sent to Tesla teams in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The company does not specify whether this rule will apply to Tesla employees around the world, or only in these regions.
The letter also mentions the Tesla Energy Team, which assembled and transferred Tesla Powerwalls systems for the operation of Starlink equipment in Ukraine. Earlier, Elon Musk responded to the request of Mikhail Fedorov and sent Starlink terminals to Ukraine and provided access to the internet network.
CNBC adds that Tesla does not officially operate in Ukraine, and will allow Ukrainian owners of electric vehicles to charge their cars for free at some Supercharger stations in Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.
