Instagram Facebook and Instagram allowed posts calling for violence and death-if we are talking about Russian invaders
UPD [14.03]: Reuters writes that Meta has changed its mind.
Instagram Facebook and Facebook users will be allowed to post messages calling for violence and death, according to Reuters. If we are talking about the war in Ukraine and the author wishes death to the Russian invaders, Putin, Lukashenko, then moderators will not block such texts.
However, this rule will not apply to all countries. Calls for the death of the invaders will be made in Ukraine, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.
"Because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we have temporarily allowed forms of political expression that normally violate our rules. For example, aggressive statements such as "Death to the Russian invaders". But we will still not allow calls for violence against Russian civilians," the Meta representative said.
Reuters also writes that Meta will allow you to publish flattering posts about the Azov Battalion, if we are talking about protecting Ukraine. This is usually prohibited in the company's social networks.
