American Netcracker closes business and stops hiring in Russia

The American IT company Netcracker, which has offices in Kiev, Odessa and Sumy, has finally expressed its position on Russia's large-scale war against Ukraine. The food company condemned the war and announced its withdrawal from the Russian market, as it wrote on its official LinkedIn page. This happened on the 24th day of the war.

"Netcracker condemns Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine and supports all people who are fighting for peace. Our hearts are broken because of Ukraine and our biggest interest is the safety of our employees in the country.

We believe that it is our moral duty to avoid cooperation with countries that have abandoned peace. We direct operations from the Russian market, and no longer sell or invest in it," the company said.

The company also noted that more than 700 employees and their families were relocated to safer regions of Ukraine and abroad.

In addition, Netcracker closes training centers in Russia in Russia and stops hiring people there, according to AIN.UA training centers played an important role for the company — they taught people from scratch, and then hired them.

Recall that before that, the company did not publicly express its position on the war, which is why its former and current employees wrote an open letter in which they asked not to hush up the company's position and sought to find out its plans for further business development in Russia. At the same time, employees noted that the Ukrainian office of the company actively helps from the first days.
