NVIDIA allowed representatives of Severstal to attend the conference. The IT community is being asked to disrupt their speech

During March 21-24, NVIDIA is holding a GTC conference dedicated to artificial intelligence technologies. Among the speakers on March 23 is Anastasia Tsukanova, a Data Scientist from the Russian Metallurgical Company Severstal. This is a company that, among other things, produces metal for missiles, tanks and other Russian weapons.

The company is controlled by Russian oligarch Alexey Mordashov, who has already been sanctioned in the European Union due to the invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine.

Tsukanova's speech focuses on the use of computer vision to optimize steel production, which, in particular, goes to the Russian military sector.

The head of the relevant department of the Russian steel company Borich Voskresensky now actively continues to lobby for this speech at the conference and improve the operation of the plant, including for armament.

In this regard, the IT community can informatively put pressure on NVIDIA in order to force it to abandon the performance of Severstal on its platform.
