Details of opening a representative office
"Today marks another milestone in our journey to Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together our members and creative partners. I am pleased to announce that later this year we plan to open a Netflix Cee office in Warsaw, which will function as a hub for the region," the release says.

At the same time, the company expects that the Warsaw office will help build long-term cooperation in the region, as well as deepen existing ties, creating new opportunities for content creators and producers.

"The creative potential and potential of the local industry make Warsaw a great place to base our business in Central and Eastern Europe. We can't wait to write the next chapter together in Central and Eastern Europe!"- stressed in Netflix.
On integration into Central and Eastern Europe

It is known that 7 years ago Netflix started broadcasting in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2016, the company localized its service in Poland. Soon after, Netflix became available in Romanian, Czech, Hungarian, Croatian, and Ukrainian.

During this time, the company invested about Польщі 115 million in Netflix original films and series in Poland alone and created more than 2,600 jobs working on films. In particular, we are talking about actors, screenwriters, directors and all other teams that are the basis of each production.

At the same time, the streaming service is constantly investing in licensing many extremely popular local games in the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and other countries.

According to the company, Central and Eastern Europe has also become a strategic production hub for its international shows. Recently, such major films as Extraction 2 or Shadow & Bone S01 have been successfully shot in this region.

Recall that on March 6, 2022, Netflix announced the suspension of activities in Russia due to the war in Ukraine. The company also stopped working on Russian original projects.

Later in Russia, the American streaming service Netflix removed its program from the App Store and Google Play. Now, when you enter the service name in the search bar on both platforms, the program is not displayed as it was before.
