Youcontrol launches ruassets platform: reveals hidden assets of Russia and Belarus

The Ukrainian company youcontrol, which creates services based on open data, has launched the International tool RuAssets to check the connections of legal entities and individuals with Russian and Belarusian assets. This was reported by the press service of this IT company.

In particular, the newly created platform reveals the involvement of companies and people from different parts of the world in Russian and Belarusian national public figures in order to freeze their accounts and seize property.

This tool also signals that it is associated with sanctioned individuals, military terrorists, and propagandists.

What was created for
"RuAssets is designed to expose those responsible for the occupation of Ukraine and warn the whole world about the threat of cooperation with businesses with ties to the Russian Federation or Belarus. After all, for companies, such cooperation is a significant risk: sanctions, financial, operational, and reputational. In addition, the sooner the international community decides not to cooperate with these countries, the sooner companies that finance the war against Ukraine will "bend". This means that the world will send aggressors to an economic "ban", — the release says.

The company also listed all the features of RuAssets, in particular this platform:

allows you to identify even the most hidden connections of businesses and individuals with aggressor countries through chains of intermediaries. That is, if a person has even indirect contact — through relatives, work, official powers — the tool will show the connection as a possible risk factor;contains the most complete list of Russian and Belarusian PEPS (national public figures) from more than 100 sources;analyzes data from official open registers of owners and beneficiaries of businesses in the CIS and Europe (15+ countries);checks legal entities and individuals in more than 50 international sanctions lists;signals connection with military terrorists and propagandists (registers of criminal persons, list of security forces of the Russian Federation);data is updated daily, in accordance with changes registries and lists;regular updates occur: the product is constantly being improved, new data sources are being added. Who can use this tool?

The IT company stressed that the new platform is designed for law enforcement agencies and state authorities — to search for Russian and Belarusian assets outside the aggressor countries and make a decision on their further freezing/arrest/exclusion.

The tool is also suitable for compliance managers, AML and KYC specialists — to check existing or new counterparties for connection with companies and individuals from Russia and Belarus, companies under sanctions and RER to make a decision on cooperation with them, based on complete and reliable information.

RuAssets will also be useful for journalists and independent investigators — for fact-checking, searching for reliable information, conducting investigations and analytical research.

In addition, the new tool will be useful for employers, HR specialists, and recruiters to quickly check individuals to make a decision on employment.

At the same time, the decision is free of charge for journalists, authorized representatives of state authorities of Ukraine and law enforcement agencies.

How the platform works

To work with the platform, after logging in and registering on the main page of the RuAssets website, enter the company name in the search, and for an updated search — ID.

For checking an individual — full name, for an updated search — tin. The system will display search results-all available information about the requested individual or legal entity.

By clicking on the "find connections" button, the tool will build a report where you can see who the person is connected to, through which company, on the basis of what, and what risks these connections may carry for users.

Currently, the tool can be tested for free. To do this, simply apply on the RuAssets website. Platform administrators will contact you to grant Test access.
