EVO has launched a fundraising platform for trusted volunteers. How it works

EVO group of companies has launched Help volunteer, a platform where volunteers can create a fundraiser for needs during the war, and all those who are not indifferent can transfer any amount of money to help. This is reported on the website of the IT company.

"Since the beginning of the war, many messages about raising funds for aid have been distributed in social networks. People take the time to check them out and raise money. Thanks to our fintech expertise, we have developed a simple and easy-to-use fundraising platform in 2 Weeks," said Kirill Teplyakov, mastermind of Help volunteer and responsible for the customer experience on the marketplace Prom.ua.

It is known that at first the platform worked only for EVO employees, and now it is available for all concerned Ukrainians.

According to the company, only verified campaigns will be published on their platform, as each collection will be moderated. The platform team will check each volunteer (personal data and mandatory confirmation of how the collected funds will be used), as well as the needs for which the volunteer raises funds: the relevance of the collection during the war and the compliance of the needs with the specified amount.

How the platform works

First of all, every volunteer who helps Ukraine in war conditions can register a fundraiser. To do this, click "organize collection", log in via Gmail and fill in all the necessary fields. As soon as the campaign passes moderation, it will appear on the site.

In turn, anyone who is not indifferent can donate funds. You just need to select a campaign, click the "Help" Button, and specify the amount and card details. The IT company assured that card data is securely protected, according to the PCI DSS online payment security standards.

"The money is not transferred anywhere, but is stored in a transit account until the end of the campaign, and then credited to the volunteer card," EVO explained.

At the same time, you can create a campaign with a specific deadline on the site. As soon as the required amount is collected, it is immediately sent to the volunteer's card. If the specified amount is not collected by the specified date, the amount that you managed to collect is received. Also, if a volunteer needs money faster, you can contact the platform's team to get it faster.

How many campaigns and what they raise money for

Currently, the site has already completed 49 campaigns worth about UAH 1 million. in particular, funds have already been raised for such needs:

a drone-bomber for the cyber police; bulletproof vests for the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense;a drone with a thermal imager and additional batteries for a separate Special Forces detachment;anticoagulant bandages that stop bleeding;assistance from the Azov Regiment, which stands on the defense of Mariupol.

Now the platform raises funds for the defenders of Chernihiv (for the needs of Scouts of the military unit a2076 and partisans defending Ukraine), as well as for cars for the Special Forces of the armed forces of Zaporozhye and food packages for the elderly and people with disabilities.

Earlier it became known that the EVO group of companies had to significantly reorganize its business due to Russia's military actions against Ukraine. In particular, it reduced about 30% of the team, co-owner of the group Nikolay Palienko told DOU.

As reported, an experienced IT officer from Lviv founded the support Ukrainian Army volunteer project: he raises funds for enterprises that have shifted their production from peacetime needs to military rails and now produce ammunition, protective equipment and other things needed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
