The air alarm app has been significantly updated: an official alarm map and API for developers have been created
The team of the popular Air alarm mobile app during the war has released important updates to the app, as well as new solutions for monitoring alarms across the country. This was reported in the IT company Ajax Systems, which created this application together with Stfalcon and with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development.
It is known that "Air alarm" as of April 27 has already been downloaded by about 5 million users.
What's new addedMajor program updates include the following::
in Version 3.0 of the air alarm app, there are notifications about street fighting and the threat of shelling;the launch of an official alarm map in Ukraine;the creation of an official API for distributing information that enters the app. About types of alarmsAs explained in the company, from now on, in addition to air alarms, the app will send critical notifications about street battles and the threat of shelling. This was done ostensibly in order to inform people as accurately and promptly as possible about the nature of the danger.
Moreover, sound alerts about alarms differ significantly: both in the sound signal and in the text of notifications. The developers expect that this way users will be able to quickly identify the threat and respond to it accordingly. Recommendations for further actions are also indicated in the message.
Notifications about different types of alarms are independent, and the app reports each of them separately. If several alarms are detected in a city or region, notifications will be received sequentially. As with air alarms, the app receives information about street battles or shelling from responsible operators in regional administrations. Coordination of alarms is provided by the state emergency service on duty.
About the mapIn turn, as noted in the IT company, in order to provide convenient information about alarms on the territory of Ukraine, an official alarm map was created.
Moreover, information about an air alarm, the threat of street fighting or shelling is synchronized with the "air alarm"application.
"The map also informs about the start time of the alarm and its duration in certain regions of Ukraine," the release says.
Currently, the map can be accessed via THIS LINK.
About the developer APIFrom now on, developers of interactive maps or other services will be able to receive systematic information about alarms in Ukraine. Together with developer Artem Lemeshev, an official API has been created to distribute information that comes to the Air Alert app.
However, to get access to the API, you must leave a request on the site. The applicant must provide contact details and briefly describe the project for which they plan to use the API.
Currently, all updates are already available in the Air Alert app version 3.0 for iOS, Android, and Huawei users.
To receive alerts about air alarms, street battles, and shelling, you must manually update the app or reinstall it. At the same time, it is recommended to activate auto-update of the app on your smartphone in order to be the first to receive new features.
