Parimatch Tech opens an IT hub in the Czech Republic. In the future, they plan to hire up to 200 developers
Product IT company Parimatch Tech opens a European hub in the Czech capital. The location in Prague will be available to all specialists and teams of the company who are currently located outside of Ukraine. Subsequently, the main focus of the hub should be R&D, the company told DOU.
The Prague office opened on May 1, 2022. The company's head office is located in Limassol, Cyprus. There are also three coworking spaces in Ukraine — Kiev, Lviv and Uzhgorod.
What are your plans for the Czech Republic"The Prague office continues our European expansion. Opening an office and starting work in the EU is a long — term strategy for the development of our IT cluster in the world. The war has accelerated actions and strengthened our position on the development and diversification of resources, strengthened our intentions for globalization," commented Maxim Lyashko, CEO of Parimatch Tech.
At the same time, he assured that Ukraine "is and will be the main R&D hub for them."
In turn, Chief Talent Officer Tatiana Davydova said that the office in the Czech Republic will provide and organize comfortable working conditions for teams, as well as provide services to specialists throughout Europe.
According to her, in the long term, the company plans to expand its R&D center in Prague to 200 developers. At the same time, there is no question of any "replacement" of 200 specialists in Ukraine with 200 specialists in the Czech Republic, the company clarified to us, taking into account the erroneous perception and interpretation in social networks after the news was published.
"The Czech Republic is one of the leading IT clusters in Europe, has a reputation as a safe and comfortable country and a high potential for business development. According to Techloop, more than 316 thousand people currently work in the Republic's IT sector. The priority in hiring for us, of course, will be developers from Ukraine, but at the same time we will work with the European talent market," Davydova said.
She also added that one of the most important projects in the near future will be the resumption of work of Parimatch Tech Academy.
Who are they looking for in the new hubNow the IT company has opened several vacancies in a new location. In particular, they are looking for a relocation Specialist locally in the Czech Republic. Its tasks include helping the company's employees with the following issues::
obtaining temporary shelter and other documents;check-in, search for schools and kindergartens;support of specialists in the process of solving financial and legal issues;establishing partnerships with auxiliary organizations (Realtors, schools, law firms);participation in other projects of the administrative team.The company is also looking for a Head of Learning and Organizational development specialist to work in Prague.
In addition, another relocation Specialist is needed in an office in Cyprus.
Recall that at the end of March 2022, Parimatch Tech stopped cooperation with 15% of employees (that is, about 200 people), including technical specialists. As explained in the company, the reason is that the functions and work responsibilities of some specialists cannot be adapted to the current needs and tasks of the company in the war and post-war period.
