Lviv it Cluster to finance modernization of Zapad Air Command Centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Lviv it Cluster will financially support the Sky project, which provides for the technical modernization of the command and analytical centers of the Zapad Air Command of the AFU Air Forces, the cluster's press service reports.
In particular, the modernization is designed to help military specialists work even more efficiently.
What is being upgradedThe improvement includes a complete replacement of existing computer equipment, network equipment, and screens for displaying images of navigation systems. At the second stage of the project implementation, it is also planned to modernize the command's operational centers.
At the same time, details regarding the implementation of the Sky project are not announced for security reasons.
"From the first day of Russia's full-scale offensive, we have been actively involved in helping our city and country. Our community, which includes more than 200 IT companies, is pleased to join the initiative that will make our sky safer," said Stepan Veselovsky, CEO of the Lviv it Cluster.
The Zapad Air Command notes that modernization has already begun, and air defense specialists will now work even more efficiently.

In turn, the head of the Lviv regional military administration Maksym Kozytskyi reported that during the first two months of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, Specialists of the Zapad Air Command of the AFU Air Forces shot down more than 20 missiles and about 10 Russian drones over the Lviv region alone.
It is known that Sky is implemented in cooperation with the Lviv it Cluster, the Lviv military administration and the Zapad Air Command. During the presentation of the project, a corresponding agreement on their cooperation was signed.
In addition, donors to the Sky project were the Software Association of Japan, itSMF Japan, it Association of Japan (Japan Institute for Business Informatics), IIBA Japan Chapter and CeFIL.
