PrivatBank will maintain the "card" exchange rate abroad despite the cancellation of NBU limits

State-owned PrivatBank will maintain the rate of conversion of the hryvnia to foreign currency on its cards outside the country, which was in effect before the NBU lifted restrictions on the upper limit of such a rate. This was announced by a member of the bank's supervisory board Roman Sulzhik, Interfax-Ukraine writes.

"Privat has not changed the "card" course and is not going to do so," he wrote in a discussion on Facebook.

He also clarified that he had already discussed this issue with the Bank's Chairman of the management board, Gerhard Besh. "If other banks decide to raise the exchange rate, I think it will only lead to an increase in the number of our customers," he added.

Recall that since May 21, the National Bank of Ukraine has canceled the upper limit on both the rate of sale of cash currency by banks in Ukraine and the rate of conversion of Hryvnia into foreign currency on their cards outside the country. This was the subject of lively discussions on the DOU forum.

The Association "It Ukraine" spoke about the NBU's decision — they believe that it can contribute to the outflow of currency from the country, and IT entrepreneurs will change their tax residency and move to foreign IT companies.
