Nortal absorbed Skelia, most of whose IT specialists work in Ukraine

Estonian-based Nortal, a strategic consulting and technology implementation company, has announced the acquisition of IT company Skelia along with its eastern European subsidiaries. Most of the technical staff of the company that was absorbed are located in Ukraine and Poland.

What is known about the participants in the transaction

Skelia was founded in 2008. Currently, it employs more than 350 employees, mainly in Ukraine and Poland. The company serves clients in 10 countries and operates through a network of offices in the Benelux countries, Poland, Ukraine and the USA. Luxembourg is considered the country of origin.

Nortal-founded in 2000. The company has more than 1,400 employees and has 20 offices in Europe, the United States and the Middle East. Hedofis is located in Tallinn, Estonia. Nortal teams provide strategic consulting, software development, product and Customer Experience, Project Management, and design services.

Nortal was advised in this transaction by Dragon Capital. In turn, Skelia's adviser was Oaklins Sweden.

At the same time, the details of the transaction have not yet been disclosed.

Comments by the parties

After the deal, Nortal and Skelia are expected to focus on creating new synergies and values for customers, as well as creating additional opportunities for Skelia employees in Poland and Ukraine, who will now become part of the global company.

In turn, Nortal CEO and founder Priit Alamae expects that Skelia's strong presence in western Ukraine and Poland will provide them with an excellent platform for growth.

Earlier it was reported that the founder of the Ukrainian investment holding company InSoft Partners Vitaly Gorovoy acquired a minority stake in the Lviv IT service company Indeema Software.
