During the three months of the war (from February 24 to May 24), 26,386 fops were registered in Ukraine. Almost 5 thousand of them have OKVED "computer programming". This sector ranks first among others that were most often registered in the country. In May 2022, the rate of registration of new businesses, not only IT, reached almost 90% of the level of May 2021. Most businesses appeared in Kiev, Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In the first two months of the war, businesses adapted to the war faster than to the COVID-19 pandemic. overall, in the first three months of the war, the rate of new business registration was 81% compared to the corresponding period in 2020 and 47% compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
