IT accounts for half of total service exports in August — Opendatabot

For 8 months of this year, it exports increased by 16% compared to the same period last year. The share of IT in the total export of services in August was 48%. This is stated in the Opendatabot study.

According to the study, it is almost the only area that is currently experiencing positive dynamics.

In general, exports of services for 8 months of this year decreased by 6% compared to the corresponding period last year — from 11.4 billion to 10.7 billion.

Exports of goods for the period decreased by 31% compared to the corresponding period of that year — from 38.6 billion to 26.6 billion. For the most part, the decline was due to a reduction in metal exports by more than half.

Positive dynamics began in the export of agricultural products — in August it increased by 34% compared to July. But compared to August 2021, revenue from agricultural exports fell by 24%.
