All the largest IT companies in Ukraine will open new offices: which countries they choose and how many people they relocate

All major IT companies in Ukraine-those that employ more than 1,200 specialists — plan to open new offices. 64% of companies with a staff of 200-1200 people also plan to expand.

Potential countries for new offices include Poland, Romania, Spain, Bulgaria, Portugal, Croatia and the United Kingdom. Companies expect that after the end of the war, about 18-25% of employees will go abroad. Currently, the largest percentage of relocated employees falls on companies that employ more than 1,200 people — 32%. In medium — sized companies, this figure is 24%, and in small companies-14%. Already during the war, 77% of IT companies attracted new customers, 56% of them expect growth of 5-30% this year. 41% of companies predict that the existing volumes will remain at the level of 50-100%. Only 3% of companies expect volumes to fall by 50% or more.

In the first five months of 2022, the export IT industry brought $3.179 billion to the budget of Ukraine. In addition, during all this time, companies have transferred UAH 806 million to charitable foundations and various humanitarian purposes.
