WITH UNIT.City CEO left: who will now manage the Innovation Park and how it will affect projects
Dominic Piote has resigned as CEO of unit Innovation Park.City. But they created an advisory council there. About how the changes will affect projects and unit development.City, DOU told in the park.
Chief Dominic Piote was acting CEO of Unit.City until July 1 in remote mode. He left the country just a week before the full-scale invasion. Piote made this decision, because he is a citizen of the United States and France, and shortly before the war, the embassies of these countries strongly recommended their citizens to leave Ukraine. It is impossible to perform the duties of CEO remotely, so instead of Dominic Piote, Unit.City will be managed by the Advisory Board UNIT.A City that was created specifically for this purpose. The difference between a board and any executive position is that its main work is exclusively related to the constant upgrade of strategy, management mentoring, vision and mission of the company. An Advisory board member must have a strong local and global network, and must have many years of experience in a similar industry. IN UNIT.They say that they have been scouting for a long time, looking for similar projects and pros in the global market.Despite changes in the management, the format of the park's operation and business model have not changed, DOU says in UNIT.City. The park is fully operational. There are projects from which in UNIT.City refused: first of all, these are the platforms that the Innovation Park financed independently. There are fewer funds and the priority has changed, they explain. However, they are now trying to reconfigure these projects. For example, in order not to keep the Ucode IT-academy project frozen, we applied for participation in IT Generation. DetailsThe Advisory Board was headed by Keys Silverang. For him, UNIT.City is interesting as a project, because Silverang has a relevant background. He actively participated in the creation of a successful innovation park in Europe — Technopolis — as CEO. In fact, I built it from scratch, unit noted.City.
The Advisory Board also includes Rick Rasmussen, a research associate at the University of California, Berkeley, director of the Sutardja Center for entrepreneurship and technology (where he is responsible for creating new programs focused on entrepreneurship and corporate innovation). Before the war, Rasmussen was responsible for acceleration programs at UNIT.City. Also-Vasily Khmelnitsky, founder of UFuture and UNIT holding.City. Dominic Piote remains on board and continues to work remotely with UNIT.City at the level of consultations and international partnerships.
IN UNIT.They say that the issue of reinstating Dominic Piote as CEO will be returned after the end of the war.
