The Ministry of Digital Development wants to speed up the process of booking IT specialists. We can talk about a period of one week

Ukraine is preparing a new "user-friendly" procedure for booking IT specialists-they want to make it easier.

The main thing is that IT specialists want to reduce the long-term booking mechanism to a week. This was stated on July 27 during a series of mentoring meetings of the ITU Public talks #Frankivsk by Natalia Denikeeva, head of the Diya City Project Office of the Ministry of Digital Development, It Ukraine Association reports.According to Denikeeva, it will be possible to reduce the duration of the procedure by automating document verification processes. They want to implement the procedure on the basis of "Diya", but discussions on innovations with a number of ministries are still ongoing. In the process of adapting the procedure to the properties of the IT industry, the Ministry plans to move away from the mobilization task.

"I hope that approximately in two weeks a new resolution with a new procedure will be adopted, which will indicate that booking is not only for those companies that have mobilization tasks, but also for those who work, pay taxes, continue to receive foreign currency earnings. Not everyone is capable and not everyone should fight. We understand that not all IT specialists are engaged in cyber defense and cyber attacks. We have been working on this issue together with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Defense for almost three months. And now I see a light at the end of the tunnel," Denikeeva said.

At the same time, the issue of booking fops is still open and without prospects for a solution in the near future."We understand that a huge number of specialists are fops, but, according to the current legislation of Ukraine, fops cannot be booked. This may be an argument for employees regarding the entry into force of City and the signing of a gig contract," Natalia Denikeeva added. Details

According to the Ministry of Digital Development, almost 2 thousand IT employees have been booked so far. Although, according to Denikeeva, there were about 20 thousand applications since the beginning of the war.

The head of the Diya City Project Office stressed that her team does not make decisions on booking IT specialists. They only first check the documents from the company, and then transfer them to the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Economy. This procedure currently lasts about three weeks, although initially the time was longer.

Residency in Diya City does not affect and will not affect the booking process of it residents, Denikeeva assured.
