Ukraine has developed an application that automatically warns about explosive objects nearby

Swiss volunteers with the support of the state emergency service of Ukraine have created the MineFree app. It reports explosive and suspicious objects if the distance to them becomes less than 500 meters.

The main thing is MineFree-a mobile application that warns the user about approaching a dangerous object by means of a message on the screen, as well as vibration and audio signal. This function works if the State Emergency Service has previously identified an explosive object.MineFree also allows you to notify the State Emergency Service about places with explosive and suspicious objects and view a map with territories that are identified by the state emergency service as potentially contaminated with mines, ammunition, etc. Details

The danger notification function can be configured via the bell icon in the upper-right corner of the Home screen. The notification works when using the map in The "View map"section. The app automatically notifies the user if the distance to the danger becomes less than 500 meters.

Information about hazardous areas and objects comes from official sources of the state emergency service, since the app is integrated with its information base.

MineFree was developed by volunteers of the Swiss charity organization Free Ukraine with the support of the state emergency service of Ukraine.

The purpose of MineFree, among other things, is to increase the level of protection of the civilian population from dangerous explosive devices. The app has a reference book that contains known explosive objects.

MineFree can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
