Coursera will offer free IT courses for 5,000 Ukrainians

Projector Institute, Prometheus and VUM (Open University of Maidan) within the framework of the INCO Academy "Work In Tech" grant program with the support of Google.org they will provide free training on the Coursera platform for 5,000 Ukrainians.

In short, 5,000 scholarships for obtaining professional certificates from Google will be distributed among Ukrainians who have lost or are at risk of losing their jobs.The program is designed for those who want to master a new specialty and are looking for a job in Ukraine or want to improve their skills.Participants will be able to choose from two IT courses available on Coursera — "IT support" and "digital marketing and e-commerce".Graduates will receive certificates recognized by industry experts and employers. Courses consist of video lessons, practical tasks, and tests. Participants will learn how to use popular tools and platforms needed to start working in it. The program also includes mentoring sessions, career counseling, English lessons, and work-life balance training.

Courses can be completed in three to five weeks of daily study, but usually students need up to six months. Potential participants do not need to have relevant experience or a scientific degree. Upon completion of the program, graduates will receive certificates recognized by industry experts and employers.
