Ukrainian women won three gold and bronze medals at the European girls ' Computer Science Olympiad 2022

The Ukrainian national team won the European girls ' Computer Science Olympiad 2022, which was held from October 16 to 23 in Turkey. This was reported on the platform of the All-Ukrainian computer science olympiads.

Details

The European girl's Olympiad in Informatics 2022 was attended by 155 participants from 42 countries. The Ukrainian team, which consisted of four girls, showed the best result and won three gold medals and one bronze.

The Ukrainian team included:

Alisa Potemkina, a student of the 10th grade of the Kiev gymnasium "Academy", won a gold medal, taking 2nd place (coach-Melnik V. I.).Daria Karpenko, a student of the 11th grade of Khmelnitsky gymnasium No. 1, won a gold medal, taking 4th place (coach-Popik A.V.).Yulia Tatarinova, a graduate of the Kremenchug Lyceum "Polet", won a gold medal, taking 8th place (coach-Melnik V. I.).Ulyana Malanyak, a student of the 11th grade of Linz International School (Austria) and Optima distance School, won a bronze medal, taking 27th place (coach-Popik A.V.).

Andrey Popik, head of the algorithm club programming school, spoke about the results of his students:

"My two khmelnichanka students Daria Karpenko and Ulyana Malanyak won gold (Daria) and bronze (Ulyana) medals at the European girls' Olympiad in Computer Science. And that's cool! Because as long as the orcs want to lead us into the Stone Age, we are confidently moving towards a bright technological future."

Last year, Daria Karpenko also won a gold medal.
